The New York State Maple Foundation is dedicated to promoting the future of the maple industry by providing scholarships and grants.

Terry Laubisch Maple Scholarship

It is the intent of this Foundation to promote the future of the maple syrup industry by funding a one-time $500 scholarship to three eligible college students in memory of Terry Laubisch, one of the founding members of the NYS Maple Foundation. Scholarships are awarded based on academic and leadership excellence and involvement in the maple syrup industry.

Applications are due by March 15th for each year.

Michael Hill Maple Entrepreneurial Award

It is the intent of this Foundation to promote the future of the maple syrup industry by funding a $550 entrepreneurial award to two eligible young maple producers in memory of Michael Hill, one of the founding members of the NYS Maple Foundation and longtime president of the Board. Grants are awarded based on the desire to develop a maple business to continue the tradition of maple syrup processing.

Applications are due by October 1st each year.
